What SEO and GEO mean
More and more people do not just search Google – they ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or Perplexity who to hire. SEO (search engine optimisation) is about appearing in search results. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is about making your website easy for AI services to find, understand and refer to. I review your website, fix the technical problems and help you describe your business so that both people and search engines understand what you offer and where.
Common problems I find
- The business shows up for its own name, but not for the service and the town
- Content is loaded with JavaScript and is invisible to some crawlers
- Pages lack clear titles, descriptions and headings
- No structured data describing what the business does and where
- Google Business Profile and directories show different or outdated details
- There is no way to tell whether visitors come from Google or from AI services

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO is about appearing in regular search results on Google and Bing. GEO is about being found, understood and cited when AI services such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity put together answers. The foundation is the same – a technically sound website with clear, accurate content – but GEO puts extra weight on direct answers, structured data and making sure AI crawlers can reach your pages.
Can you guarantee the top spot on Google or that ChatGPT will recommend my business?
No, and be sceptical of anyone who promises that. Nobody controls the results of search engines or AI services. What I can do is remove the technical obstacles and make your website a clear and credible option.
How long before I see results?
Technical errors can be fixed in a few days, but it often takes several weeks to a few months before search engines have re-indexed the pages and the effect shows in the statistics.
Do I need a new website?
Usually not. Many improvements can be made to the existing website. If the platform blocks important changes, I will tell you and explain the alternatives.
How do you measure traffic from AI services?
Web analytics can show visits arriving via links from for example chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai and bing.com. Not all AI traffic can be identified, since many people read the answer without clicking, but the trend is a good indication.
